Later Gator!!!!

This weekend we played UF Gators. Since it is a big SEC game there were a TON of people here. The weekend started off with going to the Pumpkin Patch with Kai on Friday morning with his class. Kai was able to ride the train, slide down the bouncy slide, feed the horses, and pick out a pumpkin. We had so much fun! Thanks MLC for a fun field trip!

I went to work for a few hours and then afterwards we headed to Leigh's tailgate so the boys could slide down the hill for a bit. Kai had so much fun! After the boys and I left there we headed to Clint and Ericka's hotel to visit with them for a while. The boys had fun goofing around. Kai loved playing with Clint and Austin. Kaden was a little more reserved (as always) and stayed close to me and Ericka. It was so nice to be able to relax and have fun with them for a bit and to see Clint, Ericka, Austin, Sheila and Clint's Grandparents. A big THANK YOU to Ericka and Clint for giving the boys their Aubie chairs. They love them!

Saturday we headed to the tailgate with Clint's family. It was so good to see everyone since it has been a year since the last time we all tailgated together. We were so fortunate to have Gigi up here to help with the boys. She was so nice to bring them up a little later after their naps so that they could enjoy the tailgate as well. We all love our Gigi! I know the boys had a good time hanging out at the tailgate. Jeremy and I left right before the game so we could head home to watch the game since we didn't have tickets. I am so proud of the Auburn Tigers for a great win over the Florida Gators at 17-6! WDE!!

10 Year Catholic High School Reunion

Where has the time gone? It has been 10 years and when we came together last weekend for our Reunion it felt like no time has passed at all. I was blessed to be a part of a class that was really close and rather small (120 total in our class).

Friday night started off the reunion by going to our high school to watch the Homecoming game and to enjoy some BBQ. It was fun catching up and for Jeremy to meet everyone. After the game, which we unfortunately lost, we headed over to my friend Sarah Webb's (Soule) parents house. It was nice to be able to sit on the back deck and to tell stories of what we have been up to.

Saturday was pretty busy. Mom and I spent a couple of hours with Christine, Mrs. Galbavy, and Lauren watching Christine find her perfect wedding dress. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! She found one! And she looked absolutely stunning! We also found our Bridesmaid dresses as well. I think it was a very productive morning. (sorry no pictures...don't want to ruin the surprise! :) )

That night we headed over to the Sandshaker for drinks and dinner on the beach to continue our reunion. More people who couldn't make it on Friday night were able to enjoy the reunion fun. I am so glad that Christine and Dylan came  by----Christine went to school with a lot of us all through elementary and middle school so it was a mini reunion for her as well. We even got a picture of the GPAC/St. Paul's gang.
I miss these girls so much! :(

Love it!

I had an AMAZING time and cherish all of my friendships from high school and I am so glad we are given this opportunity to revisit all of our fun memories! Thank you Christy and Alice for putting together such a fun Reunion weekend!

Happy Birthday Lucas!

Yep, we had two birthday parties to go to this weekend. This time we went to Jubilee Farm. We have only been here twice (this was Jeremy's first time) and we always have a blast with all the kids and all the different farm animals. Kaden was a little moody since he had skipped his nap for the past two days. Kai had a blast though! He rode the horse, pet the sheep, rode on the hay ride, got in the pin with the baby pigs, rabbit, ducks, and goats. We couldn't have asked for a better day with friends and our family. Happy Birthday Lucas!!

Aww
Our family picture sans Kai (he was too busy playing)

I did have a picture with Birthday boy Don just at Lucas' party

Happy Birthday Don!

Yesterday Kai was invited to Don's 4th birthday party at Monkey Park. The kids had so much fun! They rode the train around the park, hit the pinata, and enjoyed cake. Happy Birthday Don!! The boys had so much fun!

I wish I had gotten a picture of the birthday boy!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!!

The boys and I headed down to the beach after much thought (we didn't know if the tropical storm was gonna prevent us from going) we left on Saturday. It did rained the ENTIRE time we were down there. However, we spent a lot of time playing with games, reading books, and going to the Naval Museum. My dad surprised us all with painting the "Barbie" battery operated jeep "Blue Angels" blue and yellow. He did any amazing job! Thanks Daddio!! Even though it was rainy and windy that didn't stop the boys from sitting in the jeep and listen to the radio. It was so cute. We weren't able to go back home on Monday due to really bad weather so we left Tuesday. We had a great time seeing family and friends...like always!

Waaarrrr Eagle HEY!!

You can see how much the tropical storm has brought the sand up by seeing that the sand is almost to the top of the rail.

Zoo Fun!

Yesterday Jeremy had the fun idea to go over to the Montgomery zoo for a day of fun. Kai's friend Sophie and her parents, Brian and Michelle, (Brian is Jeremy's boss) joined us. We literally spent the day there...6 hours of fun. It rained hard for a while, but we enjoyed the cooler weather when it rained. Kai, Kaden, and Sophie had so much fun running around the zoo. We have taken the boys to the Montgomery zoo several times and I don't think we ever knew that we could feed the giraffes. The boys loved being able to get up close with the tall animals. Kaden loved the tigers and I think aligator was one Kai's favorite. Jeremy and I loved the monkeys! There were these small very furry monkeys and another that had these funny looking mustaches.

Michelle and Brian and packed a great picnic lunch for all of us and had this nice spread of lunch meats, strawberries, chip variety pack, carrots, fruit chews, and drinks...I was impressed! I took notes for the next picnic lunch we pack for day out.

It wasn't until we grabbed an afternoon treat at the zoo cafeteria did we realize that it was already 4 o'clock! We had been there since 10! Times FLIES when you are having fun with friends!!!

A week with the Blues

Making our way to watch the Blues practice

This give you an idea how close they are to the house. They get even closer at some parts of the show!

Waving to the pilots flying!!

The boys with the girls.

Dad with Aunt Cathy

Kaden is SUPER happy to celebrate his birthday!

The pink jeep that the girls never used so Steve and Michelle gave it to them...Steve and Dad have vowed to paint it Auburn colors!!!

We are so spoiled having my parents live out at the beach. We were able to see the Blues practice 3 days in a row with the fourth day being the actual air show. It was great to watch the Blues fly on Wednesday morning. Once we saw them beginning their practice we headed to the Gulf side where they practiced for almost an hour and 45 minutes! As I said to my Dad, "Watching the Blues NEVER gets old!" It is amazing to see the maneuvers the pilots are trained to do. It's also great to have Dad explain everything too!

Thursday Aunt Cathy came in to town. It was so nice to see her since It has been over a year since we saw her. This was Aunt Cathy's first time seeing the Blues and she was also amazed at the practices and Blues airshow. By Friday there were a lot of people coming to the beach to watch the dress rehearsal of the Blues. However, it was Saturday when traffic came to a standstill on the bridge to the island at 7am for the airshow that started at noon. It was a huge difference compared to last year after the oil spill. It was great to see tourists and locals come out to support our Navy Blue Angels! We can't wait until next year for another fun Blues weekend!

Another post including the Naval Museum

I know you must be thinking why are you posting yet another museum visit? Well, this time was different Kaden wasn't in a stroller and he was walking around. It was like seeing a kid at a toy store for the very first time! His eyes widened and he walked around. The first stop was at the front desk to see where Papa volunteers now. It was great to see Papa at work. After he got done we enjoyed lunch at the Cubi bar and then the boys headed off to the playground in the museum where they played for a couple of hours. There were quite a few people since it was Blues Weekend at the Beach that upcoming week. The Naval Museum added some new simulators. It is where the people can enjoy 4 minutes of high thrills and turns as if you were in a fighter jet. Definitely looked fun (well for those who have the stomach to handle such rides).

It was another successful and fun trip to the Museum!

Happy 4th of July!

Since the 4th was on a Monday Jeremy had to head back to Auburn to get ready for work on Tuesday. It was so nice to have him with us though for the weekend. I know that he enjoyed seeing his sister and Josh while they were home from Washington. It's still amazing to think the next time we see them their family will go from a family of two to a family of three!

We all left that morning....Jeremy to Auburn and the boys and I to Pensacola (we wanted to beat the 4th of July rush out to the beach).  We had a good day playing in the water and the boys playing with Maggie, Lauren, and Olivia. That night we sat out back with everyone else and watched the Beach Fireworks show as well as the Pensacola city show (yes, we could see both from the backyard). It was so much fun, but we missed having Daddy with us!

We hope everyone had a fun holiday! Happy 4th!!

Fun in Daphne/Mobile with the fam and birthday party for Kaden

Jeremy and I drove down with the kids to Mobile for Theresa's wedding. It was a gorgeous wedding. Theresa and James looked so happy! We had fun catching up with relatives at the reception. The reception was great. It was the first time I had seen an area solely for the kids where they set up a buffet of sliders, chicken nuggets, and fries. They even had ottomans set up where they had coloring books and markers/crayons for the kids to draw on. It was so sweet of them to think of the kids so that the parents could enjoy themselves. After the wedding Jeremy and I were so fortunate to be able to stay at the Riverview Hotel in Mobile (THANK YOU GINGER!!!!) while Gigi kept the boys.

Sunday we had a little family birthday party for Kaden. He got some great gifts. Kaden plays with the new toys from Daddy and Mommy, Gigi, and Aunt Sarah, and loves the Sesame Street book that Uncle Josh and Aunt Katy got him. It was nice to have Aunt Katy and Uncle Josh home for a couple of weeks so they could help celebrate Kaden's 2nd birthday. Katy looks great! It's hard to believe in a couple of months Baby Finley will be here...can't wait!!

Also we want to wish Katy and Josh Happy 1st Anniversary!
